I know this girl who she mostly talks about her and HER problems only on the phone, to me...never really asking me how I am doing or how I feel. She was in love with her boyfriend, and when he dumped her, all she could do was trash talk him and so on. Now she keeps on telling me how she wants to be his friend, and so on...though he most likely cheated on her, HAS always lied to her,etc. She says she thinks he's okay, but I want to tell her that she's falling into his trap! She won't listen to me though. What can I do?

I used to have a friend like that. Didn't seem like she really cared about me, only herself, and didn't want to listen to my problems. We're not friends now because of that.
Anyway...if she doens't listen to you, let her get hurt. Then whenever it doesn't work out you can secretly say "told ya so" to yourself.

Focus on school. There's so much trash you are going to go through all your life. You only get this one opportunity to excel. Tell her you don't have time for her gossip cuz you gotta STUDY! And, she isn't even your friend, so what is your problem? Why do you encourage her? If you are not friends with somebody in school or otherwise, it's not uncommon for a girl. Most girls are snooty lil back stabbers. So, carry on!

I have horrible friends like this. Just distance yourself from her for a while. Maybe she will get the point.

If she won't listen, talk to the boyfriend, maybe you can convince him otherwise.
