Would it be better to use up all the oil as quickly as possiible or spread the pollution out over more years?

Will the Earth be better off in 200 years if we use up all the oil quickly or use it slowly over a longer period.

Neither. We will be better off if we find renewable alternative sources for fuel, plastics and all the other things oil is used for as soon as possible, and leave the oil in the ground.

You have already touched on the problem, oil IS being used up as fast as physically possible. You cannot use more than is being used right now.
