Make a huge scene and make sure everyone notices when you ask her to prom. Maybe a big huge sign, balloons, streamers, flowers...the works.
Use your imagination and make it really unique. She'll love it, I know I would.

Does she love skittles or any colorful candy? Do you know her favorite color? Or what color dress she might wear to prom? Get a pound bag of skittles or m&m's and sort out the color she likes. Buy a cute small candy container or (peanut butter jar (goobers' pb&j jar cover is cute) put the one colored candy inside till its full. Write a small note: Will you be my prom princess?, sign your name and hide it inside the candy. Close the lid, use a matching colored ribbon and give it to her.

put a rose(or something else) on her desk for each period that has one word like attached to it, at the end spellngi will you go to the prom with me

leave a rose with a puzzle piece... in each class or something... and after she gets all the puzzle pieces together... it should say "will you go with me to prom" or seomthing like that...

shes your girlfriend, shes probably expecting you to take her. heres one idea tho, if you have a school newspaper, mabey you could take out an ad in that. or even your local newspaper, but make sure you tell someone about it that can show it to her.
