Can't really say I wish people to ask anything in particular. I'd rather they listen when I give an answer instead of relying on prepackaged answers they already accept. It's an old saw: The only thing harder to do than get a new idea into a General's mind is to get the old ones out. I think that can apply to more than just Generals.

wanfuforever pretty much hit the nail on the head, and i agree with him.
i dont know, i guess i wouldnt call being agnostic a belief system. i try to live my life the way i want to live, morally, with kindness and tolerance.
i don't know, i just dont feel the need to be motivated by a belief in the existence of a higher, lawful being in order to live morally and with dignity.
however, i don't rule out the existence of a higher power. i just believe that if such did exist, then they would want me to follow these principles that i already live by.
and i think this applies to all people. people should set standards for themselves to live up to, based on what they choose to believe, regardless of what some book tells you to be true.

It's more what I wish people wouldn't ask. The tendency of many people (perhaps understandable, but a bit irritating nonetheless) to ask from their own framework of a monotheistic, organised and often biblically based religion.
It makes it so difficult to have a reasoned discussion if there's no common ground. And it isn't necessary. Just throw out those preconceptions and listen.
Thank you for the opportunity to rant!
