well, id have to say THE GREATEST misunderstanding to me is the belief that we worship the devil... you see we dont even acknowledge that a devil exists. i also think spells are very misunderstood. They shouldnt even be called spells, this just gives people the worng idea. All spells are really are just raising energy charged to a specific goal and through the power of mind focusing that energy into a specific outcome. A focused meditation with visualization, if you will. At least this is how i feel. We really as a whole (there are some stragglers) are very positive people, not evil or satanic in any way, usually striving for some greater good. hope that helps

I would say the assumption that it is evil and that Wiccans are devil worshippers. Wiccans and Pagans worship nature and strive for harmony with the earth and all its inhabitants. It says more about Christians with that attitude - anything that they don't understand or like they simply demonise, have done so throughout history so nothing new there.

Well - the biggest complaint I have heard from Wiccans is that they are said to worship Satan. That seems to be number one in the list of complaints against Christianity. Or that they are being decieved by Satan. Any connotation that connects them with Satan really sets a lot of them off.
Honestly - I don't blame them to a point. They don't do these things, and don't believe Satan exists. It's pretty hard to be in cahoots with something you don't even believe is real.

That its not Christian? I'm not Wicca but it seems the biggest misunderstanding is that people can not separate Wicca from Satanism or Witchcraft; instead of a religion based on nature it comes across as a nature based on anti-Christ.
