That's a really tough situation. I've kinda been there too except reversed b/c I'm a girl. I like a guy who has a girlfriend, and his friend who's really cute and smart was interested in me, but I let the opportunity go b/c I didn't want to risk any future chance I might have with the original guy. And it's been almost a year since then and he's still with his girlfriend, but I still think I made the right decision because it was worth the risk even though it didn't pay off. For you, I think it depends how much you like your friend, whether there's any potential for a real future with her friend, and if you think your friend would be interested in you if she were single (my guy had let me know he was interested, but that he didn't want to break up with his girlfriend). I think if the thing with her friend would only be a hook up, then it isn't worth the risk of messing up your chance with the original girl. But yes, it definitely makes girls less interested in a guy if he has hooked up with their friend. Plus, if her friend became your ex, then your friend might not want to date you even after she became single out of respect for her friend.

yes! who's more important - the girl you really like or a second rate copycat of the original? OBVIOUSLY the original...think of it this way, you've only got once chance but TWO choices - it all comes down to who's really important and who you really love - don't expect to get both. Either you wait for the girl you really like (and stay good friends with her - technically you won't lose anything and you never know - maybe in the future, if her and her boyfriend dont' work out - you could be the next guy!) OR pick the girl who's interested in you and have an okay relationship.

Just remember, you can't win it all and have both - pick the WISE decision.

NO.. because if a girl likes you it doesn't matter. Dude if she likes you enough she wont care if you dated your cousin.
