Shaving your hair from your chest and back is a LOT of work. It can hurt if you cut yourself, or give yourself razor burn. It will look much like a 5 o'clock shadow, if a bit slower, when it grows out. The ends of shaved hairs are flat, so they feel sharper until they get back to the length they were before you shaved. It's itchy and bothersome while it grows out.
Another option, if you REALLY need it is waxing. Yup, it is painful, but the hair is gone for much longer, and can be done about once a year for good results. The hair will stay gone longer each time you do it. It will probably become thinner and finer as well. You get that done at a specialty salon, but it's much better than shaving in my opinion.

no it doesnt hurt. (unless u go 2 fast or press 2 hard and cut urself!) waxing would hurt and b more x-pensive. the only good thing about waxing is that it lasts longer. yes, when it comes back it will b spikey. and thicker so u will have to shave it often!!! u cant tell the difference between if u shave or dont have any hair!!!

Dude it depends!
(1)If you shave the hair will grow back spikey for a little while but after a little while it will turn out normal.
(2)if u dont use like a shaving creme your skin will turn out all nasty and ruff.
(3) depends on how long you want it yo take if you want it to be soft and non painful when you shave it will take a while, but if you want it done fast and you rush it will hurt a little bit.

I don't suggest you shaving. It grows very thick and spiky. I took my friend to a place in California called Pink Cheeks on ventura blvd. Get it waxed..

shaving does not hurt, if you do shave try using conditioner while doing it, either mix it with the shaving cream or use it pure, the results are better and it is moisureized so you wont have a rash later.
I suggest waxing though.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

shaving is nothing it doesnt hurt unless you shave sideways and up!! you cut up everything, if you shave you chest and back once, you MIGHT be able to grow it back the same, but if you shave it enough, at first it will be looking like you shaved but it comes out kinda spikey, its kinda like chaving you neck and chin.

My ex-wife used to shave her back and chest. I wouldn't recommend it.

Waxing would be better. It hurts more but it will be smoother for a longer period of time.
