When I grew up we ate together every night. I did the same with my children and so did my sister. We have those big Sunday dinners too. It helps you feel closer to your family.

How many times really depends on the time of year, or should I say which sports season is going on.
Even if we can't all eat together I sit and talk with my son and then later with my husband.
We may not all be together, together, but I feel that we are still connected.
I think it is extremely important and it makes me sad that it doesn't happen more.
As a child I remember going to my grandparents house all the time--the adults had cocktails for a while and then we would go home to have dinner. It was nice and we had some rousing discussions.
I do make dinner almost every night--so I feel good about feeding them healthy meals, even if we aren't all together.
