Mother Teresa...I would say that she is just about the only one.
Her sacrifice and charity are unmatched by any human, and I don't really even like Catholics that much (sorry, haven't met too many good ones in my life). However, she is an amazing one.

William Wilberforce-as a result of His belief in God and God's love for all men equally, he perservered in petitioning for years for the end to the slave trade in Britain at the expense of his health and his reputation. He died a day after hearing that the bill was probably finally going to pass in Parliament. He also didn't want to just stop there, He tirelessly sought after freeing slaves everywhere, including India.

I think that William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army is one. That organization is there to help the homeless and needy everyday.
Margaret Sanger, who founded Planned Parenthood. She made it possible for women to decide when they wanted to have children and do something about it when they did not.
