The general is after all a graduate of the Naval Academy Class of '67: which was so "white" and squeaky clean that
well he seldom ever saw anyone of color as they said then,
nor anyone with well an "ethnic" name except for the janitorial staff.
His remarks are out-of-step and likely out-of-line for a man in his role. Mainstream churches do not hold his views, thus he has fallen into the same path the the fools at the Air Force Academy did last year. He should keep his religion in his duffel bag.
Seems with all the "real' issues he has a focus on this? No, he is a graduate that reflects the era of his peers: he is a dinosaur. However; bigots often hate more than one "different" group of people. Perhaps all the Jews in the military should be concerned? He likely is lobbying for a job with that "Focus on the Family" in Colorado Springs. There he can protect the Air Academy from such evils as he sees fit.
But at this time I call him: "culturally challenged"

No.
Immoral
1. violating moral principles; not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics.
If that doesn't describe same sex relationships, I don't know what will.
If same sex relationships are usually accepted then why are gays in the "closet"?
Does "immoral" describe Gen. Pace? No. Because his views and actions are usually accepted. Does "bigot" describe Gen. Pace? No. He is voicing his beliefs. Which by the way, are the views and beliefs of the majority. And if the majority believes same sex relationships are immoral, then how can you call him a bigot.
"I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt have no other gods before me" So, God must be a bigot too. Since he clearly is intolerant of other Gods and their beliefs.

General Pace has a RIGHT to believe what he wants to believe about homosexuality. Do YOU have a right to judge him as a bigot because he does not believe homosexuality is moral or should be acceptable in a society? Taking your innuendo into account, almost ALL Christians would be bigots as they believe the act is perverted. I suggest you believe what you want and shut up about the generals beliefs.

Bigot? No. He is upholding the policy of the Government and the President. If you re-read the article it will tell you that. I think that you are only seeing what you want to see within that article.

Why? Because the General believes that homosexuality and adultery are immoral as defined by his personal up bringing? Sounds like morality to me and not bigotry.
