i want to be happy, it seems very very hard to become a doctor and a little easier to become a PA. If I decide to become a PA do you think I will always think in the back of my head that i should have become a doctor?

Yes, because you will be doing all the grunt work for the physician. Why not go ahead and be a doctor, then you can have your own PA seeing your patients. What makes me mad is that you go to the doctor, especially a specialist, and who do you end up seeing? A PA instead of the doctor.

By the way, I worked in the hospital before retiring and met some pretty remarkable PAs. Good luck if you decide to go that route. They have better bedside manners than the doctor.

I think personally you accomplished a lot. You should have no regrets. You still made a huge accomplishment . I just had my ankle reconstructed and the PA answered my questions better then the Surgeon, and this surgeon is considered the best ankle guy in Philly , I went to Jefferson over Special surgery to have him do it. He does all the athletes. Honestly though Even though it has only been 26 days and I have 2 more weeks in a hard cast I can tell it is better already. Keep up the good work and your passion. Thanks to all you guys and gals that fix us up.

My brother is a PA and is very well off. He is happy and lives in a very well to do area in Tulsa. So, as for it being a noble job, if Noble means you make good money and are respected, well the money is there, it is up to you to get the respect.

well not only no but heck no its not a noble job. you have to deal with pasions that are really grumpy and dont want to listen to you so they are in even worse shape then when they came into see you the first time.
