put your bottom crust in, slice 5 or 6 medium apples with skin removed, and layer them on crust. pour about 1 cup of sugar, (or less, if you want) over them, it will melt and cover them all. sprinkle about i teaspoon of cinnamon evenly over them, nut meg if you want, add a few pats of butter around, some folks squeeze some lemon juice over it. put on your top crust, and fork it so it wont blow up, you can use a crust protector if you want (remove for last 5-10 minutes. bake for 45 min to 1 hour at 375 or so. that's it! it is easy! also some folks sprinkle a little flour over the apples, too, to make the juice a little thicker.

Time consuming but easy, except the crusts can be a bit of a challenge if you are new to crusts. If you want easy, go for an apple crisp instead - very easy to make, no crust needed and great!
