My whole family are all around 5'1 - 5'5 max, going back generations and generations. We are irish, my grandpapa used to say that we come from leprechauns, but bred with the general population we have slowely been getting taller.

I am now 6'10 and still growing, my family call me a giant, and historically in our family I am. If back in Ireland everyone was leprechauns I would be a giant to them.

So in the bible they say that giants walked around, but how tall were these giants?

Would I be concidered a giant back then?

Whatabout today?

Yes, you are a giant among men, but your real task is to awaken the giant within.

The original Hebrew does not talk about giants. It talks about the "Nephilim," or "cast-down ones" who were supposedly descended from Cain. In the Old Testament they were identified with many of the Semitic tribes in Canaan.
In Greek mythology there was an age when giants roamed the earth. When Jewish scholars translated the Hebrew text into Greek, they changed "Cast-down Ones" to "Giants" (gigantes) in order to draw a parallel between the Hebrew and Greek pre-Flood accounts.
As for height, you are probably taller than the most famous Biblical giant, Goliath of Gath. In the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Septuagint, Goliath is described as around 6'6. In Hebrew manuscripts dated to the 9th century or later, scribes added two cubits to his height, making him over 9 feet tall.

CALM DOWN
You are not a giant but just a little taller than others. Some guys are like 6 feet 2inches and you are fine. Its okay to be 6'10. ANd why do you really care about what Bible has to say. Hey, we could make a deal. You can give some few inches of your bone because I am like only 5'2 and then both of us will be happy.

Only a physician can tell you whether or not you suffer from a hormonal embalance that causes extreme growth. Specific height alone is not even an indication of this disease (I believe it is called gigantism) as it causes several other physical changes as well. Have you been to see a doctor?

If I were you I would enjoy the advantages of height and ignore the disadvantages. Love yourself for who you are as long as you are healthy.

I'm 5'4". Anyone five inches taller than me TO ME seems like a giant.

To little people (dwarves that is, etc.), pretty much any averaged sized person is a giant.

It all has to do with interpretation or perhaps just a certain amount of inches taller when comparing one person to another.
