He says he still loves me but doesn't want to get sexual with me..what does this mean?
My ex-boyfriend and I broke up 6 months after I left for college but have remained friends (he broke up with me b/c he couldn't handle the long distance and I am also seven years younger.) He use to want to get sexual with me when I came to visit but now, after he doesnt...tells me he loves me, misses me, but has to be good. What does this mean? he says doesn't love anyone else and texts me all the time saying he misses me etc. . do you think he wants me for the future and doesnt want to ruin it? does this show respect? what do you think?

I think that if he has sex with you, maybe he'll miss you more, and it will get his feelings all confused.
He's probably really sad that he can't see you, so it might hurt him more if you guys have sex.

I am not from your generation but your story reminds me of the wonderful man I am married too. He sounds like a guy who is afraid of making a commitment but loves you and probably deeply misses you.
You are younger and have college ahead of you and the timing to get serious is a not quite right yet. I definitely think he is showing respect and has an eye on you for the future. Just enjoy your time together and let the future take care of itself. Men like that are hard to find, hang on to him. He is a treasure and I think he must treasure you. Be 'good' along with him and you will have beautiful friendship that is sure to grow into something very special.

Most guys love getting sexual on weekends without having to put up with the day to day stress of a relationship. If it were me I wouldn't stop unless I had met somebody else. But I don't know this dude so there's a hundred different possibilities. It could be a sign of respect but that would be a rare case with guys. If so he's a keeper.
