It depends on the relationship and the girl.
I went through a breakup a year ago and I'm still having some problems because of it. Being away from the person you brokeup with is important. I always kept running into those I brokeup with, so the pain was greatly prolonged. There was a lot of cruel and heartless behavior I had to get over, too. Though I still love them, I know it wasn't healthy for me to be around them. It's the one thing that's helped keep me from going back.

Depends on the sitution. For some girls is might take longer then others. Depends how long the relationship it was and what type of relationship The reason it ended etc.. There is no set answer.

It all depends on how much she liked the guy, how long they were together, how long they knew eachother overall. Whether or not they stayed friends... Understand? Its not like you can guess and say: Ok. In 2 months I'm gonna be over Johnny & find me a knew man, haha. Hope that helps.

It depends on the length and depth of the relationship. There is no set time and they should take as long as they need to mend, because only doing a halfway job will just lead to more heartache down the road.

I can't answer just how long. But, I can say that it is very painful for me to help a girl recover. I've been the backbone date for several girls who got dumped. Then they dumped me for other guys, lol. What about a guy recovering?
I am currently single, and have been for the past two years. I've always thought I could feel my girlfriend's pains and that hurts.

It takes at least 6 months for someone or anyone to recover from a break up. It is very difficult to break up and go into another relationship because it makes you realise what you don't want in life and in turn makes you realise what you do want in life. Giver her time, she will come around and you will be happy you waited for her. Take care Heather

It depends on the breakup reasons I think. I know that a breakup is difficult because i am going through one myself too. its been a month now and i still have many emotional moments. it gets easier everyday...just know that it will one day not be so hard...maybe not tomorrow but one day.

Twice as long as the relationship. It is a good rule of thumb.
