So we've got a tradition on my high school cross country and track teams. It's called sexy monday- wear the most ridiculous running shorts around and a far too tight t-shirt emblazoned with "sexy" on the front and "monday" on the back during our interval workout, the hardest of the week.
where can i pick up a pair of shorts like these? has anyone come across any on-line?
i'm thinking the more colorful, the shorter, and the funniest looking the better. anything from a long time ago?

check ALL secondhand stores: Goodwill, Salvation Army, American cancer Society store. You will find OUTRAGEOUS running shorts, my team has the same goofy competition... with leggings, we have to find funky leggings, not just on mondays, any day! Also, EBAY!
I know it is used stuff, but if you are uncomfortable just wear some underarmour shorts underneath, or just wash it a few extra times.
also, you can find a funny pair and make them worse, add rhinestones, puffy paint, glitter, tiedye, best not add feathers...... sweat and feathers is NEVER good.

Try ebay- type vintage shorts or something to that degree and even nike if you want to be specific. Another place- Salvation Army stores or stores that sell low end resale stuff that people gave away. You can find realy gems there :-)
Men's running shorts are always horrible. Try those in an x-small? This might be your quickest solution. Otherwise, if you have a little bit- ebay is wonderful and again, the resale places have wacky wacky things. I'm SURE you'll find what you're looking for there!!!

Heck yes! Another crazy team exists! (we don't have any teams in our area who'll go running in strange clothes like mine does) I'd definitely say look at Goodwill and thrift stores; you can find some very "nice" shorts there at times...I've got this awesome sea foam green pair that I have to hide from my mom since they're extremely short. :) Also, I know it's going to sound weird, but look at the girls running shorts-they're always shorter, and in running stores, they usually have them in strange colors (I'd bring a female friend along though, so you don't look completely weird. Or go shopping as a team, so you all look weird together.) Good luck on your shorts hunt, and have fun on Sexy Monday! â¥

try looking for 'butterfly' shorts. thats what kids in the 80's wore to gym class. i found some at a resale shop for $2

Be goofy and find flag shorts then. I can't imagine the school would allow "sexy" to be written on any clothing at school.
