"Amazing Grace" is one of my favorites. I am so sorry for your loss.
Here is another one: Precious Lord Take My Hand
Precious Lord, take my hand,
Lead me on, let me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
Through the storm, through the night,
Lead me on to the light:
Refrain
Take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home.
When my way grows drear,
Precious Lord, linger near,
When my life is almost gone,
Hear my cry, hear my call,
Hold my hand lest I fall:
Refrain
When the darkness appears
And the night draws near,
And the day is past and gone,
At the river I stand,
Guide my feet, hold my hand:
Refrain

Depends on the denomination. In the Episcopal Church we tend to be more formal at times like this. I suggest that you talk with the organist. That person will have the most experience in these things. Also I am told that it is best to use hymns that are familiar to the congregation. And you want to do some that were your mother's favorites and if something is important to you, that could be done as well. Sorry about your loss.

The Garden (I come to the Garden Alone)
Amazing Grace
How Great Thou Art
The Old Rugged Cross
what kind of songs did your mom like? I just sang for a senator's funeral on Saturday.... I sang "On Eagles Wings" which is nice too...
Praying that the service will ease your pain and help you remember the wonderful memories!

Precious memories is a great gospel hymn for services.
And Precious Lord Take My Hand is also.
I will Pray for You and Your Family,
God Bless You.
Precious Lord Take My Hand
Words & Music by Thomas A. Dorsey
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.
When my way grows drear
Precious Lord linger near
When my light is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.
When the darkness appears
And the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.

One of my favorites is "Lead Kindly Light,
"Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom; …
The night is dark, and I am far from home; …
Keep thou my feet; …
one step enough for me.
There is more
The Crusader's Hymn is great. Another name for that one is Beautiful Savior.
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son: Thee will I cherish
Thee will I honor, Thou my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring: Jesus is fairer,
Jesus is purer, Who makes the woeful heart to sing.
Fair is the sunshine, Fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twinkling starry host: Jesus shines brighter,
Jesus shines purer Than all the angels heaven can boast.
Beautiful Savior! Lord of the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man! Glory and honor,
Praise, adoration, Now and forevermore be Thine!

go to the church you are having it at, and ask someone if you could borrow a hymnal... or just take one from the pew... and give it back of course.. .there are plenty in there, and in the back it should be organized for the theme of the song, the ocasion etc.

I especially like "You are mine" by David Haas. You can listen to it here: http://meems.imeem.com/-0Fsoi4o/music/M-JQwa3E/you_are_mine/
Another is Psalm 62 as arranged by John Michael Talbot.
I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find peace.
