Rub sand paper on them until there is a hole, on the places you want holes. Do not cut a hole in them because it won't have the "hollister" destroyed look. You know the white threads instead of a gaping hole that shows your skin. You can also rub rocks on them if you don't have sandpaper, or even an emory board for smaller holes. Make sure to sand down the top of the pockets and the fabric that goes over the zipper. This will make it look more natural. After you are done make sure to wash and dry them, they will look a lot better. Good luck!

Take a razor blade or a pair of scissors and cut a 1/2 inch slit under one pocket. All slits should be horizontal.

Cut a 1 or 2 inch slit on one knee.

Also on both bottom hems in the front .

Do the same on one of the back pockets.

Next, go back and using your fingers, start pulling the little white threads out cutting away the long blue threads as you go along, to get the right wear and tear look you want.

You can have a little distressed look or a lot.

To further destroy them, either splatter clorox bleach on them. Make sure you don't get bleach on any of your other clothes. It removes dye.
The longer the bleach spatters stay on your jeans, the lighter the dots will become. Eventually(about 5 minutes or so), the spatters will turn pure white.

Rinse the jeans well to get out all the bleach at the doneness you want. Wash them immediately with detergeant in the washing machine or by hand or the bleach will dissolve the fabric completely.

You may also want the whole pair of jeans to be faded. In THAT event, soak them in the bath tub in pure bleach. Swish them around often until they are the light shade of blue you want.

When doing this, the coloring never comes out even which gives the jeans a really cool distressed look.

Good luck and have fun. You'll have a very expensive looking pair of jeans when you're finished.

Take a razor blade or a knife and cut tiny slits in the denim horizontally to get the exposed white thread look. You can dip an old toothbrush in bleach and sort of flick the bristles over the part of jeans you want to look bleached out. You can also take the razor blade and fray the edges of the belt loops and the cuffs of the pants. Also...might be most effective for distressed look...take a really rought piece of sand paper and rub it all over the jeans. After you're done all this, throw them in the washer on a heavy wash setting. The more you wear them, the more destroyed they will look. Good luck!

Levi lovin'. Bumpin' and grindin' in your favorite jeans. Either that or a date with an electric sander. Because you put this in the singles and dating section, I recommend the first method. Just remember that it only works if you keep them on.

I used sharp scissors! lol Scruffing the jeans in spots I wanted the old look by using the edge of one blade, scraping it back n forth til it looked frayed. The washer and dryer did the rest! They look GREAT now, I get compliments on them a lot when I wear them! lol

what i do is i use one of the small razors
that you can put into one of the razor holders..
i dont know how to explain it. i hope you know what i mean.

but i scrape the jeans with the razor
and eventually it comes out as a hole.

maybe it just works for me, i dont know.
hopefully that works for you. =)

I don't know how, but maybe you can ask this question in the fashion section, there are probably more people there who could tell you more about doing that...
