I know Biolage is a salon brand, but Pantene seems to be extremely well-liked. Is it just because it's more readily available? Or is it really an great shampoo that has comparable results to more expensive brands?

Biolage hands down. Look, all otc products are sold for less because the ingredients are cheap, bottom line. Professional products are more concentrated and contain quality ingredients. Realize that when you switch your hair will feel different as the wax coating comes off from the otc stuff. This may not be to you liking since you will need to treat your hairtype with specific products to control it. But it is so worth it. Your hair makes a huge statement about you.

The salon brand is better.Pantene is great but thats because it is sold at all major markets so its easier to get if u don't have time to go to the beauty supply store.

I myself always go for the salon brand, it just seems better. I don't like cheap shampoo at ALL.
