Whenever i go over a speedbump, or some uneven surface, one of my speakers (either left or right) will turn off temporarily. Sometimes when i go over another speedbump, it will turn on again. Is there a loose connection, or should i get new speakers?

Sounds to me like you have a loose connection. Check the wire on the speaker and see if it is shorting out against something. It could even be on the back of the radio if you have an aftermarket deck installed.

You have a loose connection at one end or the other of the speaker wire harness.Check at speaker first.Usually best to solder the connection.

You may have a bad speaker connection, pull speaker and check connection, If connection is good on the speaker check the connections on the head-unit. The problem is one of the two.

sounds to me like there is a loose wire and when you go over a bump it loses contact with the speaker/s and when you hit another bump the wire makes contact again.....i would check the wires first before buying new speakers....how old are the speakers....

good luck

First make sure you headunit isn't skipping or turning off when you hit these bumps.

If it doesn't... check the connections. It's probably easiest teh check at the speaker first. If that doesn't fix it... check the connection behind the headunit... specifically at the harness.
