Why do guys pretend to listen? What? huh? lol!
I've been single for so long, that I've learned to listen. It's an important skill that other guys need to learn and respect. I do it, even though i am single. I still like talking to the ladies.

They pretend to listen cause 9 times out of 10 they dont want to listen, but they dont want to hurt your feelings by not listening so thats why they pretend.

perhaps they are interested in u and pretends that they are listening to get ur attention or and trying to showcase that they really care and every word that comes out of ur mouth really matters. or they were too busy concentrating on u, checking out ur features that they never heard a single word u are said.

maybe if you wasn't so byass people would listen to you more... i.e. all guy are bad listeners... not true, but if you have this problem a lot, maybe you should let the guy be more involved in conversation rather than talk for long periods of time yourself.

My husband usually tunes me out after I have talked to much. Sometimes he does it if he's busy too. I suspect that much like myself, many women tend to ramble until men lose interest. I try not to do it to much. Especially when it's a subject he doesn't really give a rats behind about.

To get women in bed. All thats on a guys mind before sex is sex. Talk to a guy after sex, he will listen a heck of a lot more.

They pretend to listen (or care) so they can get laid, of course. It's the same motivation they have for almost everything else they do. Just get used to it so you can use it to your advantage!

Its so that when we have to look you in the eyes a little later and lie, its not as hard as it could have been 'cause we didn't hear ya in the first place.

they want something from you, so they start out listening (like the first sentence if you're lucky), and then get bored so they begin thinking about something else while looking like they're paying attention
