I believe the Hebrew (which is the orignal) name of God is, YHWH, which translates as Yahweh. And in the greek form it is Jehovah. But you can just call Him God. :)

Clearly there are others besides Witnesses who view Jehovah as God's name. In many older Bibles God is refered to as Jehovah and in other non religous materials it is recognised. In one of the Indiana Jones movies the password was God's name. Jehovah. As I understand it an early Doctor Who book refered to Jehovah.

YHVH aka the tetragrammaton. The Hebrew vowel points from another word were attached to it so we don't know its true pronunciation.
Scripture makes it quite clear that Jesus IS DIVINE...
Matthew 1:23 “The virgin is going to have a baby. She will give birth to a son. And he will be called Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14) The name Immanuel means “God with us.”
John 1:1 In the beginning, the Word was already there. The Word was with God, and the Word TRULY WAS GOD.
John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but God, the one and only Son, who is at the Father’s side. He has shown us what God is like.
Titus 2:12 It teaches us to say no to godless ways and sinful longings. We must control ourselves. We must do what is right. We must lead godly lives in today’s world. 13 That’s how we should live as we wait for the blessed hope God has given us. We are waiting for Jesus Christ to appear in all his glory. He is our great God and Savior.
Isaiah from the Old Testament, along with Matthew, John, and Paul from the New Testament ALL agree that the Messiah WAS God. How can anyone claim to be a follower of his without BELIEVING what the authors of so much of scripture say about him?

It is Yah-weh. Notice that Jesus's real name is Yah-shua, which means God's salvation. Another point, alleluyah means praise God. It is the only word that is commonly translation in all languages.

I'm a Hindu. To me God's name would be Lord Shiva. To other Hindus it could be Lord Vishnu. Just as there are other religions, there are other names. Someone told me (and I'm sorry I've forgotten what Faith they were) that God can't be described. To put a name on Him is imposssible. All you can say is "He Is".

actually people these days call him Jehovah, but that isn't the right name. It derives from the hebrew YhVH which is the first letters of the statement he made to Moses. " I am Who Am " He told Moses to tell the Hebrews in Egypt that I AM sent him to free them from egypt. So technically His name is I AM.
