You can dye your dogs hair . They offer it at some dog grooming shops. You can also do it at home by mixing koolaid and water in a spray bottle and misting it on your dogs coat and letting it dry. It won't hurt that dog either. Do Not use human hair color products on any animal.

If dogs were intended to be a color other than the natural then Mother Nature would have done so. Hair colors for humans are chemicals. Those chemicals could penetrate through the skin and cause problems you cannot see until the dog is sick or the skin gets irritated/infected.

I know there are colors used for dogs, such as poodles. I am hoping the ingredients are tested to be safe for use. If you really want a "dye job" on your dog take to a groomer. But ask questions first about the safety of products.

well... I have a big beautiful white persian cat with LONG hair. I fill up the bath tun and pour into it about a whole tube of pink food coloring and dip him into it and it works beautifully. It also lasts a long time. Perfectly harmful, but I don't know if it will work well on a dark colored animal.

Hair dye is probably not good for anyone--human or dog. Up to you, it's your dog. The tails should not be too much of a problem.

Back when I was growing up, I knew a lady who dyed her poodle pink. I thought, even when I was ten, that poor dog, how could she do that to a pet she loves. It was cute when she had outfits on her dog that matched her own, but coloring the dog was ugly. Please don't do that to your pet.

Yes it is.
Some groomer's do it. or you can do it yourself
I would stick with natural dyes.

I know Pet Esthe http://www.wordpress.tokyotimes.org/?p=497 makes some pet specific dyes, I didn't see them on their website though, so you might have to e-mail
