OK, here goes.

HHC , 4 BCT =

Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 4 Brigade Combat Team.

FOB Salerno =

That's the Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan that Unit is operating out of. It is located just north of Khowst, Afghanistan ( if you want to look it up on a map)

APO AE 09314 :

is the postal code identifier for military units in Afghanistan.

AE, isn't Asia East... it's the identifier for the Atlantic Region.

(AP is Pacific.)

The AE is Asia East, hope this helps, hes got the rest pretty much as right an answer as you will find.

everything that was said was true.....but the AE actually stands for American Europe
cause there is AE and AA when using overseas address for americans that use mlitary post offices.
