When one strips away all the attributes of God, what is left? What is perceptible? I would venture that Love is the only true perception of God that a human being can have, as it is not moderated by insanity (culture/society/parents/religion etc).

God is Love. and if you believe this then you have all it takes to fulfill your purpose in life. It is said, if you Love God with all your heart and all your soul then you by no way can dis obey him, break his commandants nor do wrong in his eyes. For in so doing you Honor God, and all his children. You truly are a child of GOD.

God is only Love but due to being in this world of Illusion which only one fourth of the souls choose to come her (the less intelligent ones- that's us) But love means relationship and we should want to know everything about Him. What He looks like what He likes etc. It is said God made us in His image. So that means He has a form The next question is what is that form? The answer is the form of Krishna. I can't say that God is love, because love is a created thing, and God is not His own creation. God is loving, yes, but He is not love itself. Before even love, there was God. Besides, God is far beyond anything we can imagine, love being one of them.

I would say Love is the best description of him because many things fall under love like kindness, patience, mercy, forgiveness, etc.
