Let me clarify. Immigration is legal. Aliens are illegal.

So, why won't the politicians enforce our immigration laws?

Why should they? What's in it for them personally? I'm afraid we will have to deal with the illegal aliens until Haliburton figures out a way to make money from deportation. We may be waiting a while.

its a political thing. illegal immigration has been going on for so long and we have such a large spanish background in this country, that it is hard to enforce this. But they should do so to make sure our country stays strong. I would campaign and vote for the candidate who was for closing the boarders of this country and sending all the illegals back to where they are from no if and or buts.. but i know this will never happen..

They are pandering for votes from radical pro-illegal immigration groups like La Raza, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), and LULAC. Their long range plan is to get amnesty for these illegal aliens, and just like that, their constituency expands by tens of millions in potential votes.

Once a particular politician or party in general gets these types of people to support them, it's easy to keep them by simply promising entitlement programs (welfare, free healthcare, etc). These types of people don't really think about anything beyond "what do I get for free?"

Also, there are corporate lobbyists who funnel money to these politicians to keep them from enacting legislation that would crack down and enforce immigration policies. Corporations depend on the steady flow of cheap labor to maximize profits while sticking it to the people of their own country. When's the last time you talked to a customer service rep you could clearly understand? Or the last time you called a business and didn't have an automated voice begin by saying "to continue in English...."

for starters most of the politicians are using illegal immigrants to benifit themselves, working them for much less and making themselves richer.
most are playing both sides of the field, talking **** and using them at the same time.
these problems didn't happen over nite, this is an issue that has long be ignored for far to long and now that things are totally out of controll.
there is ppl on both sides of this war suffering.

Simple. In a short number of years, the plan is for further integration of the US, Canada and Mexico.

Why else would Felipe Calderon speak about securing Mexico's southern border

They love the cheap labor. Plus it would be 'politically incorrect' to enforce immigration laws.

Because their rich supporters have them employed under the table and they are a rich source of votes when using a stolen identity.

Perhaps it would be a very bad political move - which begs the question of which is more important, the people's wishes or corporate America?

Because corporate America runs this country and wants the illegals for cheap labor..
