Why 1789?
Well, we would have TOTAL freedom! NO sickness of any kind!
There'd be corporal punishment in the schools, and the children would *respect* their teachers, and each other! There'd be bibles in the schools as well.
The Ten Commandments would be in *every* public place, and court house! People would respect each other, and there'd be no hate.
There would BE NO teen pregnancies, fornication, adultry, drive-by shootings, drugs, speeding, theft, murder, liers, gossipers, and the like. It would be Heaven on earth.

Some Jews tried to rally behind him as King to go against Rome. That was not his purpose and Jesus left them. He was here to die as a perfect man to pay a ransom sacrifice for Adam's sin. He did that primarily and ignored man's thinking. He would refuse to be president Mat 24 and Luke 21 talks about the horrid last days. That's what he expects tohappen, the fultillment of the prophecies.

For one thing, there would be no twenty second amendment.
For another, the U.S. would be like north korea, with a dead man being the head of state.
