Let me re-phrase the question:
Where did we all evolve from? Was it from AN ACCIDENT, the Big Bang theory, (so we are just amoebas with a few more cells) or BY DESIGN (so there is purpose and meaning in our lives), God's theory - Adam & Eve? It cant be both, right?

Big Bang theory is pretty new and is going through changes to fix up the problems that are observed. The holes are filled in by ideas that are later disproved within a short time.

If you try to prove the Bible account LITERALLY, you will find a lot of conflicts in science.
However, this was a story passed down from generation to generation untill the Israelites finally had a written language thanks to Moses growing up in the Egyptian Pharoh's Palace. He wrote Genesis about 3600 years ago.
The 6 days he wrote of follow closely to what science believe were the 6 epochs of the Earth's development. There are similarities with things we know.

Re InBreeding complaint:
Adam and Eve would have had the original gene pool of everybody we find on earth today, plus those that have been wiped off the planet. Inbreeding problems arise with a limited gene pool - like pedigree breeds of dogs that are mated within a very small number of family lines to keep them purebred.

The story of Adam and Eve is a myth; it is not meant to interpreted literally! If you are a theist (believer), there is no real reason why you can not believe that your god chose to create via the Big Bang and evolution. Before I became an agnostic, I attended a liberal Protestant (Christian) church which did not preach a fundamentalist view of Christianity and the Bible and never indoctrinated us with the concept of a conflict between religion and science. Please do not either become mired in the monkey dilemma; humans and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor rather than that humans evolved from monkeys...

I do not believe in evolution theory of Darwin.Monkeys are still monkey untill todays. The Big Bang theory is the occurrance of this universe that God created the skies and this earth and all of its contents in the same time..

The answer is both because I believe in creation through God and that it is God who created the big bang. God uses the elements to create things and people. God is the author of science. When God created the world, he spoke the word and the elements obeyed.

WOW two screwed up ideas in one question

1- We didn't come from monkeys. We do have a common ancestor, but monkeys are not our ancestors.
2- The Big Bang is how the Universe formed and it has NOTHING to do with evolution.

your opening up a debate that ppl get emotional of...so be careful...but as for my two cents...i believe there is a god bc how can we declare we are the highest form of being...seems ignorant..but then again i think it is also ignorant to jus completely ignore evidence of evolution... i think god created living things but not necessarily adam and eve maybe some of the other forms of man...and darwins theory of survival of the fittest helped the man that we walk with everyday come to be

I believe humans came from the first humans. Adam and Eve. Did God make them in the image of an ape? No! He made them in His own image and likeness. A HUMAN!!!!! Not a damnable ape.

The book of Genesis explains the beginning of many important realities: the universe, the earth, people, sin, and God's plan of salvation. God's purpose was to create the world and His desire is to have people set apart to worship Him........<>< <><
