I say "I am sorry you are so closed minded!" Most of the time I just ignore it I really do not care what people think about all 7 of my tattoos.

When someone makes some negative remark about my tattoos, I will usually ignore them. However, when I have had a bad day I will tell whoever that number 1 its my body and if they don't like my tattoos don't look, number 2 it is not nice to try and shove your opinions down someone else throat so stop trying, and number 3 I really don't care what you think about me so go **** yourself.

Mostly I just turn and smirk at them.. cause most people don't say anything they just.. gasp and stare. If they do say something I either tell them "it's not your concern".. or "I take care of my body, sadly the same can't be said for you" (cause more times than not the people who get an attitude in my face are 400+ pounds, wearing mumus, and screaming about how I'm disgracing gods gift). but basically if you're going to worry about what other people think of your tattoos.. are you sure you're wanting one for the right reasons?

I've actually never had anyone say anything negative about any of my tattoos... unless you count my mother, on catching sight of one of them for the first time (I don't live at home), saying "what a horrible colour!", in reply to which I just laughed!

I have Japanese character on my back and i have only ever got positive comments about it.
Tattoos are a very personal thing and my suggestion is if your going to get one be comfortable with your decision and confident in showing it off. Be wise about where to put it and remember if you are young don't let it be somewhere that may jeopardise a career decision later on.
Like a beauty Therapist having a big one on her arm, or something like that, you get the picture
I was 25 when i got my tat so i considered myself old enough to make the decision

No one who has seen my tattoo ever said anything negative about it. It is usually concealed but that's dependent on my hair. Anyone who would say anything, especially after I explain what it means to me would probably deserve the remark: "I have dedication to my art, writing, and my imagination. Can the same be said about you?"

I never had someone say something negative about my tattoos, at least not to me. They might have thought about saying it.....either way, who cares! As long as your happy with them,, thats all that counts.

I haven't gotten a negative comment (yet?). My gf says it's because when I'm relaxing my face, I look mean & scary. Right. I'm a pasty white geek - who's afraid of that?
I think most people only dis tats when they can hide, for example, behind their yahoo ID. Face to face most see their cojones dry up and blow away.
