This answer is based solely on my experience w/ the same skin type(s). I find that if I wash with a gentle cleanser rather than a deep cleanser or anything abrasive my skin will be more uniform...not typey! Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar is awesome! Oh, and use only your hands~if you have to scrub it off it is probably meant to be there until it naturally comes off! Loreal has a new Acne Response line that has a lotion w/ benzoperoxide and this really smoothes my skin and makes the different types more alike. And I don't peel w/ this like w/ other benzo products. Good luck.

You need Artistry's Clarifying Skin Care System. It is for combination to oily skin and it will help like you wouldn't beleive. Trust me becuase i've been in your shoes. It actually controls oil for up to 12 hours. The coolest part about it is that you have nothing at all to lose because they will give you 100% of your money back if it doesn't do what it says. Artistry is a prestige brand but it's cheaper than lancome and estee lauder and definately better quality. I don't know if the Body shop offers all of your money back but I know Artistry does and that should tell you something. I also don't know if the body shop is super cheap either. The skin care system I told you about is about $62 but it is totally worth it. It is very concentrated so the whole system should last about 6 weeks and you can't lose because if it doesn't work for you just get your money back and then try the Body Shop stuff. It isn't avaialable in stores but you can find it at http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com. In order to buy anything off the site you'll need to register as a customer but it's safe and completely free. I am telling you this stuff is awesome and i've tried a lot of different things.

It sounds like you just need to find a good toner/moisturizer. Even if your skin is oily, using a moisturizer is good for you. Your skin is producing so much oil because it needs to, if you use a moisturizer it may even it out and take care of the dry spots too. Try to find one that has spf in it to block sun keeping your skin healthy and young.

Use a face GEL not soap and use a cream GEL not the regular kind. If you want balance remember, use only gels and you must use a toner.
