If you've looked at my questions you'll see I've had problems with Miss Piggy before. I've been trying to get her to do her business while I'm present. Usually the only way she would do it is if I closed the door but I am tired of peeking out of the window to see if she's finished. If I don't get her out of the litter box after she's done she buries her leavings with her snout. Then I have to clean clumping kitty litter out of her nose. I admit I've yelled at her in the past but I've been trying a more positive approch. Whenever I can get the stupid mutt to go I pet her and give her praise afterwards. But the next time she has to go it's like I've done nothing at all. She refuses to get on with it! I don't have the money for a trainer right now and my patience is very low. So should I go back to hiding behind the door or continue with the current struggle or just drop kick her out the front door?

What is so bad about pooping in a litter box? Cats do it all the time. My other dog doesn't seem to mind it at all.

It isn't a dog problem it is a people problem you don't have the patience or the tools to help your dog. and what does kitty litter have to do with all this? can you at least go to the dog whisperer website cesar milan and check out some ideas he has? or if not buy a book on house breaking a dog. I did it with a dog kennel (crate) I left my pup in the crate and every two hours we would go out and if she did her business, we would go inside and play a bit and then she would go back into the kennel then two hours later we would go out again and if she did it ...play a while and a treat and back in the kennel if she did not do her business, right back into the crate she went no play time nothing. I did this until she got the picture and it works. I know a lot of people think this is cruel but it worked for me and it is a pain in the butt but it works great and I have a fabulously well trained loving dog now. good luck with it

I think I know the problem. Miss Piggy might be sick or something. If she's not doing her business regularly than she could be ill. I've seen an animal that wasn't doing his buisness regularly and I found out that he was sick. Or maybe yuor dog isn't sick, maybe she just hates being treated like a cat! I know that if I were a dog and if my oqner treated me like a cat, I would hate it!!!

Maybe Miss Piggy doesn't like being treated like a cat and wants to poop outside like normal dogs do!
