my 3 mos old male has an odor that defies bathing, I have wormed him and that seemed to work for a bit but then the smell came back. Does anyone out there have the same problem as I do or any suggestions on what to do about it?

Some dogs when they get ear infections will smell a bit 'funny'. If your pup isn't shaking his head a lot and wimpering when he itches that probably isn't it. If he is doing that then take him to the vet for medication. Intead of tomato juice, puree, paste, or sauce try using vinegar and baking soda. Both are known as oder absorbers. Also they will not sting nor harm your dog if he accidentally ingests some. I hope this helps you out some.

have you smelled in his ears? could be a yeast infection in his ears if that is the case you can get help at the vet and they can show you how to prevent this from happening again, but you probably need antibiotics and a bottle of ear cleaner from the vet to neutralize the yeast. Or it could be a type of mange that smells bad and you need a special shampoo. the vet is your answer

My dog has the same problem. We can't ever seem to get rid of the stench but bathing with special bacterial shampoo and vitamin supplements seemed to help the problem.

Where is the smell coming from ? Is it all over or a certain area ? Does your puppy seem sick or listless at all ?

I'd take him to a vet, he could be sick, or have a skin infection. You don't want to take risks with your puppies health.

There are several things you can try...Sometimes the dog food you feed him gives off a strong odor, try a different dog food, did you try baking powder and dry brush him? If these don't work the dog has a scent glan in his anus and the vet can drain it for you. Is he around other male dogs? then he marks his territory with his scent or urine. If all else fails cut off his tail...about 1 inch behind his ears...This will take care of everything...Nuf Said

Where does it sleep? What does it smell like? It's possible you might need to change it's diet.
