It will be very negligible. Nothing was "proven" with that show as it was entirely speculation. Even the archaeologists who discovered the bones did not think that they really were Jesus Christs./ It was all grandstanding by the producers to make a few bucks off of a proported controversy. The whole thing will fizzle and die. In fact, I think it already has.

For genuine Christians, no impact. We know what we believe, and anything that doesn't line up with the Scriptures ...is a lie. Also, Jesus is alive, not buried in a tomb.

None. this is a hoax. In fact there is a movie that was out a number of years ago that has this exact theme. It is called the body with Antonio Banderas. And honestly it just seems like the latest atttempt to cash in on Jesus after the Davinci Code, Holy Blood Holy Grail, ... These kinds of unfounded attacks have been going on for years and the best part is they always reveal how flimsly the so called evidence they are based on is. Maybe we should thank these people for drawing attention to the fact that they are so easily demonstrateably false. Many of the top legal minds of history have come out in favour of believing the resurrection story would be credible in a court room. These names include Simon Greenleaf (Royal and Dane professor of law) He works are considered essential for determining what is and isn't evidence. He also worte a book examinng the testimony of the gospels according to the rules of a court. Then there is Hugo Grotius considered the father of international law, Lionel Luckhoo the most successful lawyer in history., J.N.D. Anderson. Lord Caldecote and a whole slew of others. There are a few boks worth reading if you can obtain them. Who rolled the stone away, and what leading lawyers say about the resurrection. The last one is out of print but is on library of Congress. I have seen a similar title leading lawyers case for the resurrection by the same author Ross Clifford. I gladly welcome thumbs down if you take the challenge to examine the evidence yourself. Sadly I fear a thumbs down is the most excercise some people will be willng to exert. It's easy to see why Christians are getting tired of this as it's seems almost monthly thereis some new claim that is based on nothing but seems to be more an attempt by some to detract fro the christian faith for their own personal reasons.

I believe it will cause some to realize that their faith is weak, and it may cause some others to fall away. There are many who call themselves Christians or think they are Christians but who don't have a true relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus spoke of the sower and the various types of ground the seed falls upon. Where the seed has not taken root, it will be swept away. The Bible tells that in the end times there will be a great falling away from the true faith. This is perhaps one aspect of that apostasy.

unless some kind of absolute smoking gun is discovered, it will have very little effect on christians. Myself, as a skeptic, don't care for this story becuase i could care less if they found something likely to be christ's body. It is the principle of the matter, which is that the bible and christian theology are unsound and immoral. That's all proof i need to know that it is a fable.

They did not find the tomb of Jesus, just a way to make a small fortune.
There is absolutely NO way they can prove it is Christ. And if there was a way, it would prove that it is not Jesus.

No amount of evidence will ever convince those who require no evidence in the first place. If Jesus walked up to them and said "You're doing it all wrong", they wouldn't believe him. That's how faith works. So the impact, which should be overwhelming, will be negligible.

I haven't seen it, so can't speak to it's validity, but even if it were irrefutable I strongly believe that most Xian Fundies would disregard all evidence that doesn't agree with their narrow views of the world. Just like they do with evolution.
