I am a Christian, and I do not believe in a hell and I do not believe all will enter heaven. Only a 144,000 will be kings and Priest with Christ. All others will inherit the earth. No I am not a witness, just some one who has studied the bible for over 20 years now. Not all true Christians believe that God is a cruel God. Throwing some one in a pit of fire to be tormented day and night by Satan and his demons(the cause of all evil) makes God seem cruel, and he is not. He is loving and kind and slow to anger. People really need to study what the word hell actually means.

I think for one we as Christians do understand. We were persecuted for our beliefs for centuries. The Romans put people such as Paul the Apostle on trial for such violations of their own code. Christian people were given the option of death or denying Jesus Christ as the Son of God. So if any group knows about the wholesale slaughter of their people based on religious belief it is the Christian nation. The exclusiveness to thin club you so eloquently called it is accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and to live your life as well as possibly according to him and the Father. There is nothing egotistical about that. It is not God that is excluding groups in fact it is the opposite. God is not unfair. He is just and righteous. I am sure that there were good people in Sodom and Gomorrah if we went by the standards of our society today. The world my friend has changed but God is unchanging. He has this book that explains it all and is still quite a popular seller today.

I used to believe that, because it made me feel all warm and fuzzy about God. But, the truth is that many other religions do believe that they are the only ones going to the after life (or what ever they choose to call it.) But, my Bible tells me that believing in Jesus is the only way to Heaven and I believe that. Why do I believe that? Because I believe the Bible. The creation of the Bible also known as the Cannon was a careful, divine process. The Bible has been protected by God throughout history and mostly, I have seen with my own eyes the effects of the teachings of the Bible on people's lives. Also, I have come to realize why God chose this whole Jesus approach. 1) He wanted companionship for eternity 2) He wanted good companionship 3) He wanted companionship that chose to be with him through free will 4) The story of Jesus requires us to have blind faith in something we cannot see. It requires us to seek God. Prior to Jesus' birth, God was very visible/ present and he expected perfect obedience. We have a pretty good deal now. We seek him, we have faith in his word and in the sacrifice of his Son and claim that forgiveness and we live in Grace. People of other religions, are the decendents of people discussed in the Bible who turned away from God early on and chose to ignore the teachings and proof of Christ being the Son of God when it was right before them. I challege you to trace these other religions you speak of back to their roots and you'll realize that they do not point to the same God as my God.

Do you think if there were a God, he would not care who you believed in. If you were a parent, and your child didn't believe in you, would you put him in your will? God does have a right to let only those who believe in him live with him. That isn't unfair and it does make sense.
Not believing in Christ is not believing in God. Christians didn't make it up. Jesus said it. And last time I checked, he was a lot more impressive that any atheist I've seen.

No we are not an exclusive club...that is the point. We are trying to drag as many in with us,before it is too late.(by the way there is no charge or selfish agenda on our part).
Do you think that we enjoy being hated...that we have fun dangling Hell over everyone's head. We have been given light and as long as we are here, we are commanded to shine in the darkness.

I do hear other religions tell Christians going to hell or their version of it. Look at the Muslims. They believe they have the only true religion and all others are infidels. To be in good grace with Allah, we must come to their religion or die. so when you say Only christian are like what you say do so research on other religions.

Wow. This is a question that I have thought a lot about lately. I unlike some Christians believe that you can go to heaven without being a Christian. One can not tell me that Ghandi went to hell. There are many other religions in the world that preach peace and good will towards people. So I believe that people can go to heaven without being a Christian. I have friends who are nice and loving people who care much about me and they aren't Christians they are Jewish and Buddhist. You can't tell me that all the people who aren't Christian who are still good and loving people are going to hell. Tolerance and understanding is the key to solving many of the problems in the world today.

People....why can't you just open up your eyes to the truth. If you would just read the Bible, maybe you would get a better understanding about God. He is not a cruel God, but He is a just God. He also gives you many chances to turn away from sin and follow Him. You don't get into Heaven just by doing great and wonderful works, you have to except His son Jesus Christ into your heart. That is the only way you will get into Heaven. Like I said, READ the Bible and that will answer any question you have about God and getting into Heaven. You don't have to slander christians and there beliefs. I truely feel sorry for you. I wish you were not so blind to the truth.

If somebody told me I was going to Hell, because of my beliefs, I would check up, study, and read over the promises that Jesus made, I would make sure that I was right. Now what will you do?

You speak from worldly understanding, your conclusion about God is based on human reasoning, not upon scripture.
What God says is fact, refusing to believe Him is sinful.
Read Gods Holy Word for yourself and come to a right conclusion. I do not listen to what others tell me about my faith in Christ Jesus, I only listen to what God tells me about my Savior. You are correct in saying: "God is not unfair"
He is very fair.
That is why He makes it very easy for all humanity to know Him and to be redeemed from the curse of sin.
That is why Christ Jesus came down from heaven, suffered, died and rose again for our transgressions.
The Creator lays His life down for the created.
Praise The Holy Lamb Of God !!!!

Not likely to happen, as hell only exists in the Christian (and family) religion.
In my religion, Christians (especially the fundamentalist sort) are doomed to repeat the lessons they were meant to learn in this life. I don't believe in a hell, but I do believe that we are all supposed to learn something in our lives. If we fail to learn these lessons, we repeat them; it's like failing 4th grade and having to repeat it.
If you go through life thinking you've nothing to learn, you certainly won't try very hard to learn it. The "god in a box" concept, where God is defined by a book, just doesn't seem to be a great learning environment for me. If you're certain you've got all the answers, you certainly aren't motivated to search for them.
