The intstallation is in chinese but i think i can handle that. I was wondering if it will cause any later problems though. Perhaps my computer will be in mandarin chinese after the installation or something. Does anyone know if there will be any negative affects if i use this chinese language installer for windows vista?

I live in China and have installed many versions of Windows and Mac OS, both in English and in Chinese. Unfortunately for you, that CD is not just a Chinese installer. It is totally Chinese and the Windows system will be in Chinese with no option to see anything in English except files that were created in English such as Word documents from someone else or an English web page.

When you install Mac OS, the CD just has a default language setup that can be changed at the users whim, requiring only a logout, login to use a different language.

You probably want to buy the English version and try to sell that Chinese version to a Chinese person. I haven't priced the Vista CD yet but I am guessing it is a lot higher than the XP CD that I you can buy anywhere in China for a dollar.

Well hopfully you know and understand the manderin chinese language.. cause everything in windows will be in that language (errors, dialogues, help). Some programs might not have a Chinese translation so informational and program texts may not appear right.
