24 months and 2T have slight differences 2T is a little longer/bigger compared to a 24 months and 9 times out of 10 a 24 months will have the snaps between the legs. It's almost the same but not quite 24 months is for baby babies and 2T is for "big kid" babies :)) I hope that helps some.

The main difference I've noticed is that the 24 month pants have snaps for access to a diaper and you won't find that on a 2T. Sometimes the 2T can be bigger, but I think that's more of a brand design than it is actual sizing. 24mo clothes with the snaps generally have a stretchier material so that it fits a diaper better too.

there is a little price difference but there is also a little size difference too. alot of clothing companies consider 24mth olds to be little babies so they make them a little smaller than a 2T. but some companies still consider that some children that wear a 2T are still wearing diapers so they make them bigger than a 24mths. but that about it. it all depends on the name brand that you buy. but basically there the same just different. 6 to one half a dozen to the other. if you notice 24mths getting tight then go for the 2T after a couple of trips through the washer and dryer they will fit perfectly. also some 2T's are longer in the legs for pants and longer in the stomach area for shirts and onsies. GOOD LUCK

It's the same size but if you check the price there could be a difference. Happened to me looking at an outfit in the 24 mo size and finding the same in the 2 year toddler $5 cheaper.
Rip off, I'd say.

Usually a 24 month outfit has snaps up the legs and a 2T won't. But I agree, they are basically the same size.

They are the same. If you hold them up, they are the same length and size. I hate that. To make it worse, some brands like Koala are smaller than indicated. Then try seeing pants or outfits in 36 months that are too small for a kid in a 2t and 24 month ones that are too big for the same kid!!!
It is a huge waste of money.
Ever try shopping for socks for a toddler? You get them home and they don't ever fit. I don't get it!

...and to make it worse, your child doesn't necessarily fit into 24 month or 2T clothing when they are 2 years old! In fact, my 14 month-old son has been wearing 2T for several months now.
They are the same; the only difference is the brand.

It really depends on how long they are and size. Most kids wear 2 T before they are 2. My daughter can still wear 3-4 T shorts( jean shorts) and she is 6. They are snug, and short , but she could still fit them last summer. My daughter is thin with long legs , so this year she will need all new shorts. :)
Aot has to do with what brand you buy, Old navy tends to run smaller then alot of other brands. She wears a 4 in old navy and a 6 in other brands in jeans.

Some brands only have one or the other. Of the brand has both, i have noticed that the 2T has a little bit longer legs. not much though. I used to wonder that too.

Actually I found 2T to be a little longer than 24 months, and they don't always fit a two year old.
