i'm a loud person. like when i laugh, and when i'm happy. i feel stupid when i'm loud. i can be quieter, it's just really hard. and this guy i like is shy. is that intimidating? i mean i'm shy, until we get talking. then i get kinda loud. i'm not super loud, i just seem really loud to myself.
so, do guys like that? and if not, how do i stay quiet?

You just be you, and don't worry about that guy. It may be slightly intimidating, but if you start dating this guy, and then you get comfortable, you don't want to be sensoring yourself all the time, right? I think you should be proud of your personality, and if this guy can accept that, he'll be a great boyfriend. Sometimes it works great when shy and quiet people are with loud people. My husband is loud, and we balance each other out because I don't compete for the attention (I'm super quiet). Good luck, and be yourself!

I am a really loud laugher (also when i'm drunk i'm really loud, but that's a different story) you just have to realize that the right guy will love you for who you are, not what you are trying to be. I know that sounds corny, but it's true...I found my perfect guy, and so will you!
