I'm a member of the church of Christ. I can't think of any scriptures that directly address smoking. They only scriptures that I can think of to apply to smoking would be regarding caring for your body as the temple of the Lord. & you could apply the Golden Rule to 2nd hand smoke..at least in my case, because I am allergic to cigarette smoke

there are no scriptures. like bill says, there are some on cleansing the body, body is a temple etc. smoke is a toxin but then again so is harmful foods, high fat diets so when you start opening that scripture up to include smoking you have to start including all types of things.

I am not "church of christ", I grew up in the Church, but am not a member, in another religious organization. Maybe the following can help you.
There are practices that Satan’s world has made popular but that are against God’s laws. Getting drunk on alcoholic beverages is one of them. (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) Another is the use of such drugs as marijuana and heroin for pleasure, as well as the use of tobacco. These things are harmful to the body and are unclean. Their use is clearly in violation of God’s instruction to “cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit.” (2 Corinthians 7:1) The smoking of tobacco also harms the health of those nearby who must breathe the smoke, so the smoker is violating God’s law that states that a Christian should love his neighbor. Matthew 22:39.
One might say that these things are all God’s creation. True, but so are mushrooms. Yet some varieties prove fatal if eaten. Another might say that the Bible does not specifically condemn such habits. No, but, as we have seen, there are many things not specifically condemned in the Bible that are obviously wrong. The Bible nowhere specifically forbids using a neighbor’s backyard to dump garbage. Yet its command to “love your neighbor as yourself” should be enough for any of us to recognize how wrong that would be. Similarly, smoking displays lack of love, since the fumes may irritate others and can even damage their health.
At 2Â Corinthians 7:1 God’s Word tells us to “cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear.” For something to be “holy” means for it to be “clean, untarnished, uncorrupted.” The Almighty God keeps himself clean from corruption, never lowering himself to act in an unholy manner. Rightly he expects us to continue “perfecting holiness” to the extent possible for humans. (Romans 12:1) Also, he expects us to ‘love him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength.’ But how can anyone do this if he indulges in practices that defile his body, damage his health, and shorten his life?

...why does it have to be Church of Christ...? Gods Word is for everyone...? yes...? no...? to answer your question...
"your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit of which you are".
Why would you want to put "smoke" into Gods creation...?
Would you ask Jesus for "a light"...?
