Im 18,in college. The girl is a 17 year old senior in high school, she asked me to go to prom and i said yes. Who should pay and who should be in control?

She asked, so she should pay. However, it would be nice to offer to pay for your own at least. As for who should be "in control", I have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, neither of you should be "in control." Both of you need to be caring for each other and not taking over all the planning and how it goes. But if you want to show her you're the nice guy, you should pay for the prom, because she will think more of u as being a gentleman if you pay for it.

This is her prom and her high school. She should pay for the tickets but you should treat for dinner. I'm not sure what you mean by be in control but relationships are equal and yours should be equal and balanced between the two of you.

That is simple. Since she asked you let her pay for the tickets. If you want to feel like you are not being rude you can offer to take her to dinner before or after. Don't forget to get her a nice corsage though!

whats up with this CONTROL issue? i think you two should split everything right down the middle. but as i know it to be is that the guy pays for everything except the dress that she is wearing
or whoever did the asking is to pay, but this is the 20th century. just split everthing even though it is her prom.

I think she should offer to pay for the tickets, but if you can afford it, you should pay. As far as control, if you are talking about the plans, I think whoever pays makes the decisions.

I'd assume she'd probably pay for the tickets, but it would be nicer if you took care of it.... but like ask her how much the tickets were and be like i'd like to pay for them, and if she insists that she took care of it then say like okay but you I'm taking care of the rest and you take control..... I'm a girl thats what I'd like

Truthfully, prom costs the girl alot. If you're able to afford it, pay for it yourself. If you can't, try to negotiate, and split it 50/50.

Traditionally, it works like this:
Asker pays for tickets and dinner.
Askee pays for photos.
If you have a limousine, then you split it.
