I have a similar problem (adobe photoshop) asked earlier but the best chosen answer wasn't too clear.
I followed his instructions

"Press ctrl+alt+delete keys together then pick the task manager buttonThis will give you a list of all program's running and list al none responding ones.
Get back with which ones are not responding"

It only helps end the program and gives you the option to send or not send a report. This does not seem to solve the problem of why it happens and to prevent it from happening. Any details? Thanks

A program may perform an illegal operation due to a variety of reasons, that may include and not limited to, RAM failure, corrupt install of a few files when that particular software was installed, etc.

It is tough to say how to prevent this from happening, unless say you get the same error at the same place everytime you run the application. If you are getting the same error at the same place every time, try re-installing the application, and maybe try installing to a different location.

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, please get back with the exact details of the error and its pre-conditions and post-conditions, and I'll update my answer appropriately.

You have corrupted software do to a misload or a problem in the registry

I assume youve tried a restart on your computer

Go to Start, Programs, Accesories, system restore, and restore the system to an earlier date.

Your program will then operate prooperly I am sure of it.
