Be honest with her about how you feel...
Females like honesty....they don't like to be persuaded into liking someone....they like to make their choice on their own...
Make sure that you let her know that you like her as a friend...and would like to get to know her better on another level....
That way she sees you for who you are....and how you really feel....
She will have a lot of respect for that....and she won't feel unsure about your feelings for her or overwhelmed about how you express your feelings....
Then she can appreciate the poems and stuff....

Well the only way she is going to know that you like her is if you tell her. Girls usually like guys that are more confident, so dont be to afraid to tell her. Poems are romantic, I love poems. Well good luck with it!!

I have to say that I think poems are only sweet if you are already going out. If you write her a poem and she doesn't like you, then it will seem stalkerish.

be straight up and honest with her.. tell her the truth and just be yourself.. it always works.. try not to be a jerk about it.. but honesty is the best thing to do.
