1 horsepower = 746 watts. Factor in efficiencies and the available power will be less.

Typically a gasoline powered generator will produce roughly 500 watts per horsepower. 5kW generators usually have 10hp engines, 4kW use 8hp engines, 15kW about 30hp, and so on.

One horsepower equals 746 watts. The output of the generator will depend on the efficiency. If it is a DC generator it probably won't be more than 80% efficient. The answer would be <746 watts.
