We can now photocopy our asses and compare freckles. That has to be a benefit to society. We can use recycled paper which gives poor people a job at the tip to sort rubbish. Benefit #2.

It made secretaries' lives easier.
It hasn't. Nature is real, not photocopied. You can't fix or change nature. It's not broken and change is what it does on it's own.
