My soon to be husband and i just got out of the military and serving overseas.
We want everything to be perfect so should i go with like a burnt orange and brownish color or should i go with brighter colors.
Any other fun suggestions would be great!!

Burnt orange sounds beautiful; maybe you could pair it with a rich red.

I think your ideas will be fine as it is the end of summer and fall is starting you may even have leaves changing depending where you live. The burnt orange colour is great on dresses.

I would suggest brighter colors. The picture on the left of this link has a nice color combo for an August wedding. orange. red, pink

i am getting married the second weekend of august and my colors are wild orchid and ice blue-in august you can choose either or colors it is almost the end of summer and almost the begging of fall-so you have plenty of colors and options out there for that month-do you have a certain color in mind? well good luck and congratulations!!

why not do it red white an blue?????? bridesmaids in red an blue dresses an red an blue table settings an you an your hubby in white
i say still keep it light if it was mid september i say go with the browns
but its your day do what ever floats your boat or toots your horn
