Christianity is a religion, yes. But so is Buddhism, Islam, Mormonism, etc. To be Christian does not mean the same thing as to be religious.

Guess I didn't explain very well. I know that to be Christian is to be religious. However, to be religious does not necessarily mean to be Christian. It's not just semantics. Every Christian will go to heaven. But every religious person will not. I don't define myself as being religious, but as being Christian. Some people think it means the same thing.

I don't know why, but thanks for pointing it out.

Huh? As a practicing Christian who was Baptized, Confirmed, Married and Ordained as a Deacon and a Priest in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church...may I heartily disagree?
I proudly practice the Christian religion. Use any definition you want - it is a religion.

In a sense hun, it does go hand in hand. Saying you are religious is indeed more of a broad term, but being Christian does make you religious. God bless!

True enough.
And they should know that there are many gods worshiped by many different people; the Bible's "I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no false gods before me" not withstanding.
If you say "God", many people have no idea who you are speaking of. If you ask a question about "God" and mean the Christian God, it might help if you indicated such when you ask the question.
