As an agnostic, it was the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. This is a real life horror film. And I'm not saying this because I think that God's this or God's that, because I have respect for every religion. But this is not religion. This is brainwashing of kids who have no choice. It's got such a strong political agenda, and Becky Fischer denying it made me sick. There is NO reason kids should be standing outside of Washington protesting abortion. It's horrible, and I honestly fear for my country.

I forgot to add that when I was younger I went to Christian camp, and to the guy up there "Frankly" something, this is NOT Christian camp. This movie is not depicting the regular church camps of Christianity. This is a brainwashing fest.

the devil knows we all like to stereo-type and this so called "christian camp" is his tool to make us think all Christians are nuts.

I know very well a Christian camp that is the real thing and a wonderful place it is. My son worked there for 3 years and loved it. My other son spent a week there as a camper and he loved it. No nutty people there behaving in strange ways. Just good, loving people who truly care about others.

Don't fall into the trap of stereo-typing that satan has set for you.

I only saw portions of it and while I don't want to speak ill of other people who profess a faith in Christ, I found the movie disturbing. It reminded me of the catasrophic children's crusade some hundreds of years ago. It is God who gifts and calls individual believers to the ministry that He has ordained for them. I think they should close up the Jesus Camp and start a vacation Bible school instead.

I have no religion - but have faith in God.

In many ways I think it is a scary things. Some of their teachings to the kids is pretty radical, and borderline dangerous.

I don't think any child should be exposed to that sort of radical way of thinking. They are too young - even as young teens. They still want to please and desire to do what adults want.

I have met a couple of people who actually went to the same type of camp as kids. As adults, they wish they had never been exposed to such a thing. That it truly messed with their thinking.

Father K, Haiku Hanna, and Parrot pretty much said it. Those children's parents should be ashamed of themselves for sending their children to that place. I'm sure if there WAS a God, He, too, would be horrified and mortified by that place. Those people should be in jail.

Atheist-

I found it rather annoying- I saw protesters at a Marilyn Manson concert once... not much different.

On a personal note, however- I did load a bunch of short audio clips into one of my samplers...

It scared the frijoles out of me. When I went to church camp, we pretty much just sang songs and went canoeing. It wasn't ANYTHING like that Jim Jones-esque crud.

From a Deist point of view, I found it disturbing, yet boring.
