A lot of dogs will chew their harnesses if you leave them on--the best thing is just to take it off.
He should, however, wear a collar at all times to have an ID tag and a rabies tag on him.

I would only use a harness for walking. Keeping it on may cause mats and/or sores from abrasion. One thing to keep in mind with puppies is that once they learn something early on it is difficult to retrain later. This pulling will not be corrected by a harness and will likely be reinforced by it. There are many books that will help you learn how to correct the pulling in a pretty easy and humane way. One that I have found helpful is DOG TRAINING FOR DUMMIES isbn # 780764552861. This series of books typically has books based upon each breed as well. Another great book for any animal behavior (and one that I personally feel any animal owner should read) is DON'T SHOOT THE DOG by Karen Pryor isbn# 7678300650. Barbara Woodhouse has good books as well but she relies on a training collar (choke chain) which I would not recommend using unless you are being guided by a certified animal/dog trainer. Any of these books could be found on amazon.com. Good luck with your new pup.

You should only leave the harness on when you are walking your puppy.
Harnesses can get caught on things. Also, dogs tend to want to chew them off. If you want to avoid your dog getting caught on something and harming himself or damaging the harness, just put it on when he is being walked.

In my opinion you should take it off at home since its strictly for walking. Then again I'm someone who doesn't make my dog wear his collar at home so that he is extra comfortable. :)
Another thing, I don't know if you used the harness yet, but I bought one too many months ago for my dog and he is so much better now when he gets taken for walks.

I leave the harness on my pit bull all the time. He doesn't like to take his "clothes" off. He is that was with he collar too. he wants to keep his stuff on. At least it is on when we get ready to go outside.

I prefer hair that is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like women are more often then not straight, they like long hair because that looks more feminine, as most men have short hair.
