Forget him, guys that bounce like that isn't worth your time. A guy friend once told me that they categorize girls (subconciously into categories) and the only way taht you'd know that HE really likes you is not about what he says but to what extent he is willing to go to show that he likes you... He told me that if a guy just shows up from time to time and not really pursues you--- then he is still out there testing the waters and seeing who else will bite.
if he acts really cool around you, and is kinda smooth with words... he may not really be serious at all. When guys are nervous (have you watched the movie HITCH?)-- the more they blundder up, the more they like you (i guess i think its partially true)... so if a guy blows you off.... don't think of it negatively, i'd say your pretty lucky cause you didn't even start something with someone that could have just played you.

Ahh, my little daffodil, you have so much to learn. It is obvious that you are both young and he simply has found someone he likes better than you. It's cool though because no matter how much you like this guy, it would only be a matter of time before you guys would have broken up anyway. As you grow older and experience things in life you will learn that boyfriends will come and boyfriends will go. That's just the way life goes. The thing you have to learn is just to enjoy your youth and move on. Forget that zero and get you a hero. In other words, you must realize that it is his loss and you can rest assured that somewhere down the line you will encounter an even handsomer stud that is going to love you and appreciate you for the sweet person you are. Peace and God bless.

Consider yourself lucky! He might be having some real issues like bipolarism or he might just be a complete jerk. He might have had a gf and then she found out about it and he had to do that. You never know. Just consider yourself lucky, move along and keep your head up and find someone who is less prone to drama. You deserve to be treated better than that and if he can't be a man, you certainly don't want to date an immature little boy.

Sometimes people just don't listen: If someone shows you who they are or how they feel, Believe them!! He answered your question, he really likes this other girl and even if he does like you do you want to deal with future problem of him cheating on you with this girl he already told you he really likes?!

He's a player...he took you on one date to see if he could get anywhere...I guess he didn't think he could get anywhere fast so changed stories. Move on, he's a jerk. Go out there and find yourself a keeper. Good luck! =]

He changed his mind. Maybe, he wasn't as interested as he thought he was or something better came along. Who cares because you have better things to do. Move on and forget about him.
