You're not going to be able to get the birth certificate by telling us. I wouldn't post all of that personal information online.

You need to go to the county courthouse of the county where the child was born. The cost will be $10-$30 and you will need to show your ID as the child's parent.

The hospital will NOT have a copy of the birth certificate. They send it all to the courthouse.

the first answer is correct. If the child was born outside of your state you will need to contact their dept. It isn't hard at all, but they do drag their feet. Just do it online and save some time.

If you go to the hospital where the child was born they will just send you to Vital Statistics for that state. They are the only ones who keep these files.

Call the Courthouse of the county where he was born; they have all the birth certificates and you can get a certified one for about $10.

Try the Department of Vital Statistics. Or go to your local court house, they can put you in the right direction. Beware, when dealing with the government, you will spend your whole day just waiting. Ugggh!!

If you know what hospital he was born in you could request a copy from the health department. Or the hospital. If he was born in another country, i'm not sure. You could call your state government and ask them to point you in the right direction.
