I downloaded a .pdf files , but i cant seem to find a program i can open it with.

use a PDF reader. Foxit Reader 2.0 is a free PDF document viewer with incredible small size (only 1.5 M download size)

It depends. If you have a month or so to kill, get Adobe Reader. My grandmother runs faster than it. I dislike this program. I will not reccommend it or use it until Adobe trims it down.
Otherwise, go to http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php and download FoxIt reader. It takes up all of 3mb of hard drive space, runs a helluva lot faster than I do, and reads PDFs. Best of all, it's not as nagging as Adobe regarding updates and the like.

.pdf is a Adobe Acrobat file format to view the files you need the reader which is downloaded here

FOR GOD'S SAKE, DO NOT USE ACROBAT READER! :) (Sorry for the all caps, but Acrobat Reader is horrible)
Use FoxIt Reader (http://www.foxitsoftware.com )... it does the same thing much faster. Only 2 MB. Acrobat Reader is about 60 MB... which would you rather download? I don't understand why in the world anyone would ever want Acrobat Reader.
